Ljubljanske Mlekarne Celebrates 70 Years and Looks to a Greener Future

Ljubljana, 1 June 2026 – On World Milk Day, the French-Slovenian Business Club was honoured to join the celebration marking the 70th anniversary of Ljubljanske Mlekarne, one of Slovenia’s most iconic companies. The occasion brought together business partners, media representatives, and distinguished guests, including H.E. Ambassador Fabienne Runyo and FSBC President Tatjana Šikovec.

Founded in 1956, Ljubljanske Mlekarne has grown into Slovenia’s largest dairy producer, employing over 630 people and exporting to some 50 countries worldwide under well-known brands such as Alpsko mleko, Mu, and Planica. Alongside celebrating this milestone, the company announced at least €5 million in new production investments for the year ahead, alongside a biodiversity conservation project developed in partnership with the Bird Watching and Bird Study Society of Slovenia (DOPPS), which will establish wildflower meadow strips on farms across the dairy supply chain.

The French-Slovenian Business Club extends its warmest congratulations to Ljubljanske Mlekarne on this remarkable anniversary and looks forward to following the next chapter of their story.
