19 January 2023 – Last Thursday, the French Slovenian Business Club and the French Embassy in Slovenia organized an event celebrating the New Year 2023 with the French tradition of the Galette des Rois. The French Ambassador to Slovenia, H.E. Florence Levy, gave a speech in which she extended her good wishes for the year ahead and called for further strengthening of economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in sectors of the future such as digital technologies, space exploration, and facing the challenges of the energy transition.
The president of the French Slovenian Business Club, Tatjana Šikovec, also spoke at the event, emphasizing the 5-year anniversary of the Club in connecting the French and Slovenian economies and inviting companies to join the Club. # #
The guests of honor was Lenart Žavbi member of Parliament and the President of the Friendship Group with the French Republic at the Slovenian National Assembly.
The event was enhanced by the musical performances of talented musicians, singer Ana Berus and guitar player Neža Lopatič. The attendees, who enjoyed the beautiful melodies and virtuosity, praised their performances. The event was a great success and allowed the attendees to celebrate the New Year while also experiencing a piece of French culture.
